FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

Yes!  We know it is not always easy to pay insurance premiums, and that you want the most out of your insurance!  So we accept all major insurances including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and Worker’s Comp.  We also accept most private insurances, with the exception of United Health Care (UHC).  We are continuing to reach out to UHC so that we can accept it, but they currently are not contracting with new providers/facilities in Montana and may other states.

We will verify your insurance on your first visit and provide you with info on your deductible and coverage, but it is always best to check with your insurance company yourself.

Do I need a referral?

Montana is a direct access state for physical therapy, meaning you can legally and confidently see us first, without a referral. However, many insurance companies still require that a medical provider is involved. Therefore, it is always best to check with your insurance company to determine whether you will need a referral for them to cover physical therapy services. That being said, we also care about you, and want to ensure you are getting the right care, so we work closely with other providers to get you the best possible outcome.

How can PT help me?

Pain is a natural part of living and the human experience, however it does not need to keep you on the sidelines. Physical therapy treatment includes a detailed initial evaluation that validates your story, provides education on how to optimize movement, and ideas on how to manage your symptoms. We can assist you in implementing habits to keep you active throughout all of life’s stages.

What makes PT different?

Physical therapists combine a detailed knowledge of anatomy and a thorough competence in pain science to collaborate with each patient to get them back to doing what they love. We have a wide array of treatment options and education to provide to you to see what works best for you, including spinal manipulation, exercise, and soft tissue massage, to name a few.

Can I self pay?

Yes! This is a great option if you do not have an insurance plan, or if you have a high deductible that that you do not foresee meeting in your insurance year. We offer a 25% discount for self pay, and accept cash, check, or credit card at the time of service. Th9s discount makes each unit of service (measured in approximately 15 minute increments) $45, with the initial evaluation costing $112.50 plus any treatment you receive on that date. We are happy to work with you to get the service you need without undue financial stress.

Why start with PT?

By choosing to see a physical therapist first, we can use our skills in differential diagnosis and screening for serious medical pathology to be able to refer you to the most appropriate provider.  If imaging and/or medical assessment are not required for your particular case, we can begin helping you right away!  This can help to decrease healthcare system costs by cutting back on unnecessary imaging for persistent low back pain, for example.  It can also save you time, travel, and worry.
